We are so grateful for the awesome system that you have put in place for us 😊  

It works so well and we have had several new shop volunteers and it has been so easy to train them up on it.  xxxx has now stepped away from the shop and I am putting in a team to run it with the aim that I will step away before the end of the year...

PTA 2nd Hand Uniform Shop - do you know how we work? Here's some info for you.

The PTA 2nd Hand Uniform Shop runs with volunteers who sell uniform on behalf of sellers who get 70% of the sale price back*, a bonus is when we get donated items and claim the whole 100%. Funds raised are used by the PTA to donate money towards specific purposes within the college – eg the sound system in the auditorium, the last school van (yes the whole van was paid for by us!), the annual scholarship breakfast.

The shop is open every Friday lunchtime during term time and 1 Saturday per month as well as our summer sales over Dec/Jan. We also separately open for the Internationals when they come in and purchase their uniforms when they leave.

Tasks involved in the shop are washing & mending donated items as required to get a better price for them, grading items sent in to go on the racks for sale, using the HMR Uniform system (relatively easy), running the shop on a roster (min of 2 in shop at any time and usually 2 hours of your time).
