We want our kids to look smart, but we're also mindful of our budget and definitely don't have the time to scour the town for new or second-hand uniforms. That's why we appreciate using an HMR system as we shop at our favorite school uniform store, making the process easier and more efficient.

We've always recognized the need to make uniforms work harder. Since 2009, we've operated school uniform stores at our kids' schools, experimenting and refining our approach, which ultimately led to the establishment of Hand Me Round (HMR system) in 2018, specializing in second-hand uniforms.

Our school uniform store, the Second-Hand Uniform Shop, is proudly operated by two dedicated administrators and a team of parent volunteers, all using the easy-to-navigate HMR system. The process is straightforward:
Register your items in the HMR system and drop them off at the shop. Our Quality Control Volunteers inspect each item, and once approved, make them “live” and available for purchase at the Second-Hand Uniform Shop.
When an item sells, payment is automatically processed and transferred to the seller’s bank account through HMR's integrated system.
Why the HMR system Works:
Customers can view real-time stock availability online before visiting the shop. The system simplifies stocktaking, sales tracking, and financial management. Payment files are generated automatically and uploaded to our school Trading Account. Importantly, 100% of the proceeds go directly back to the school via the PTA to fund essential equipment and resources for students.
By choosing the HMR system over auction sites or social media platforms, families enjoy a reliable, convenient, and community-focused solution. Plus, it’s better for the environment!
The Second-Hand Uniform Shop is fully stocked with gently used uniforms and staffed entirely by volunteers from our parent community.

PTA 2nd Hand Uniform Shop - do you know how we work? Here's some info for you.
The PTA 2nd Hand Uniform Shop operates with dedicated volunteers who manage the sale of second-hand uniforms on behalf of sellers, who receive 70% of the sale price back*. A bonus arises when we get donated items, allowing us to claim the entire 100% of those sales.
Funds raised through our school uniform store are used by the PTA to support specific purposes within the college – such as acquiring a sound system for the auditorium, funding the last school van (yes, the entire van was paid for by us!), and organizing the annual scholarship breakfast.
Our shop is open every Friday lunchtime during term time, one Saturday per month, and for special summer sales over December and January. We also have designated openings for international students to easily purchase their uniforms when they arrive.
Tasks involved in operating the shop include washing and mending donated items as needed to enhance their sale price, grading items sent in for display on the racks, and utilizing the HMR system (which is relatively user-friendly). Running the shop requires a roster with a minimum of two people present at all times, typically for two-hour shifts.
